Sobre o artista
Bring Me the Horizon, muitas vezes abreviado como BMTH, é uma banda de rock britânica formada em Sheffield, Inglaterra, em 2003. A formação se manteve por muito tempo centrada no vocalista Oliver Sykes, guitarrista Lee Malia, baixista Matt Kean e baterista Matt Nicholls. O nome vem de uma fala do Capitão Jack Sparrow no primeiro filme de Piratas do Caribe, refletindo a ambição inicial da banda de viajar e conhecer o mundo através da música.
O BMTH começou na cena do deathcore e metalcore, conhecida por blast beats e vocais extremos, mas passou por uma das evoluções mais drásticas do rock moderno ao longo dos álbuns. Discos como Sempiternal e That's the Spirit levaram a banda para texturas eletrônicas e de rock alternativo, enquanto trabalhos posteriores como amo e Post Human: Survival Horror avançaram ainda mais para o pop, o industrial e território próximo ao hyperpop, somando colaborações entre gêneros.
Faixas como «Can You Feel My Heart», «Drown» e «MANTRA» ilustram a transição da banda de breakdowns agressivos para composições atmosféricas e hinárias sem abandonar totalmente o peso. Essa disposição de se reinventar tornou o Bring Me the Horizon uma das bandas mais influentes e difíceis de rotular surgidas da cena metalcore britânica dos anos 2000.
