Sobre o artista
O Radiohead se formou em Abingdon, Inglaterra, em 1985, sob o nome On A Friday, passando a se chamar Radiohead ao assinar com a EMI em 1991. A formação estável da banda sempre contou com Thom Yorke nos vocais e guitarra, Jonny Greenwood na guitarra base, Ed O'Brien na guitarra, Colin Greenwood no baixo e Philip Selway na bateria. Seu single de avanço, «Creep», tornou-se um sucesso mundial inesperado no início dos anos 1990, embora a banda tenha inicialmente lutado contra o rótulo de artista de um só hit.
Eles se livraram dessa reputação de forma decisiva com The Bends em 1995 e especialmente com OK Computer em 1997, um álbum amplamente considerado um dos melhores de sua época, combinando letras ansiosas e alienadas com uma intrincada interação de guitarras. O Radiohead então deu uma guinada radical com Kid A e Amnesiac, incorporando texturas eletrônicas, influências de jazz e produção glitch, afastando-se da composição rock convencional enquanto mantinha o falsete característico de Yorke e a tensão atmosférica da banda.
