Sobre el artista
John Lennon (1940–1980) fue un cantante, compositor y músico inglés, reconocido sobre todo como miembro fundador de The Beatles, la banda que transformó la música popular en los años sesenta. Junto a Paul McCartney formó una de las asociaciones compositivas más célebres de la historia, combinando un dominio melódico del pop con letras cada vez más experimentales, introspectivas y socialmente conscientes a medida que la banda evolucionaba del rock and roll temprano hacia el psicodelismo y más allá.
Tras la disolución de The Beatles, Lennon emprendió una carrera en solitario marcada por una honestidad emocional cruda y un fuerte compromiso político, trabajando a menudo junto a su esposa y colaboradora creativa Yoko Ono.
