Sobre el artista
Arcade Fire es una banda de indie rock de Montreal formada en 2001, liderada por el matrimonio de Win Butler y Régine Chassagne junto a un elenco rotativo de multiinstrumentistas como Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury y Jeremy Gara. Conocidos por arreglos orquestales expansivos con cuerdas, metales y acordeón, construyeron su sonido en torno a crescendos himnódicos y una escritura emocionalmente cruda.
Su debut de 2004, «Funeral», se convirtió en un hito del renacimiento del indie rock de los 2000, con aclamación crítica casi unánime que los llevó al mainstream. Álbumes posteriores como «Neon Bible» y el ganador del Grammy «The Suburbs» consolidaron su reputación como una de las bandas más ambiciosas de su época, mientras que «Reflektor» y «Everything Now» se acercaron a influencias de dance y disco.
Arcade Fire es considerada una de las bandas definitorias del indie rock del siglo XXI, reconocida por sus grandes espectáculos en vivo con formaciones ampliadas y álbumes que equilibran lirismo íntimo con un sonido grande y colectivo.
