Sobre el artista
Foo Fighters es una banda de rock estadounidense formada en Seattle en 1994 por Dave Grohl, ex baterista de Nirvana, que comenzó el proyecto como un desahogo en solitario tras la muerte de Kurt Cobain, grabando casi todos los instrumentos él mismo antes de armar una formación completa para giras. El nombre de la banda alude a los avistamientos de ovnis reportados por pilotos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Musicalmente, Foo Fighters construyeron su identidad sobre un hard rock melódico y pegadizo con raíces en el alternativo de los noventa, combinando energía guitarrera con estribillos himnóticos. Canciones como «Everlong», «My Hero», «The Pretender» y «Best of You» se volvieron básicos de la radio rock moderna, mostrando la versatilidad de Grohl entre baladas íntimas y temas de estadio, mientras que trabajos posteriores incorporaron mayor experimentación estilística.
Con nueve álbumes de estudio, la banda ha ganado numerosos premios Grammy y una reputación como uno de los actos en vivo más sólidos del rock. El baterista de largo recorrido Taylor Hawkins, figura clave durante más de dos décadas, falleció en 2022, una pérdida que marcó profundamente la historia del grupo.
