Sobre el artista
Fleetwood Mac es una banda de rock anglo-estadounidense formada en Londres en 1967 en torno al guitarrista de blues Peter Green, el baterista Mick Fleetwood y el bajista John McVie, cuyos apellidos dieron nombre al grupo. Comenzaron como una banda de blues británico y pasaron por varias formaciones hasta sumar a la teclista Christine McVie y, en 1975, al dúo estadounidense Lindsey Buckingham y Stevie Nicks, lo que transformó su sonido hacia un pop-rock más melódico y elaborado.
Esa alineación clásica produjo la etapa más celebrada del grupo, con temas como «Dreams», «Rhiannon», «Go Your Own Way» y «The Chain», caracterizados por armonías vocales entrelazadas, letras confesionales y una tensión entre la melodía de raíz folk y la producción de estudio. Buena parte de ese material surgió de las propias tensiones personales entre los miembros de la banda.
Fleetwood Mac ocupa un lugar único en la historia del rock, uniendo el blues británico de los sesenta con el soft rock californiano de los setenta. Canciones como «Landslide» y «Silver Springs» siguen siendo referencia obligada y son versionadas constantemente.
