«Monster» es la octava pista de Ithaca Saga (2022), la primera entrega del álbum conceptual EPIC de Jorge Rivera-Herrans, que reinterpreta la Odisea de Homero en formato musical. Suena tras que Odiseo ciega al cíclope Polifemo y pierde a seis hombres, marcando un punto de inflexión: el héroe se pregunta si su creciente crueldad lo convierte en un monstruo, comparándose con el cíclope, la bruja (que anticipa a Circe) y un dios vengativo. Concluye que debe volverse «el monstruo» para llevar a su tripulación de vuelta con Penélope y Telémaco, aludiendo a un futuro acto atroz —arrojar a un infante desde un muro—, referencia a las atrocidades de la guerra de Troya en las que participó.
