[BEGGARS]

[MENDIGOS]

At the end of the day you're another day older

No fim do dia você é um dia mais velho

And that's all you can say for the life of the poor

E é só isso que se pode dizer da vida do pobre

It's a struggle, it's a war

É uma luta, é uma guerra

And there's nothing that anyone's giving

One more day standing about, what is it for?

One day less to be living

Um dia a menos para viver

At the end of the day you're another day colder

No fim do dia você é um dia mais frio

And the shirt on your back doesn't keep out the chill

And the righteous hurry past

E os justos passam apressados

They don't hear the little ones crying

Eles não ouvem os pequenos chorando

And the plague is coming on fast, ready to kill

E a peste vem rápido, pronta para matar

One day nearer to dying!

Um dia mais perto de morrer

At the end of the day there's another day dawning

No fim do dia há outro dia amanhecendo

And the sun in the morning is waiting to rise

Like the waves crash on the sand

Como as ondas quebram na areia

Like a storm that'll break any second

There's a hunger in the land (There's a hunger)

Há fome na terra (Há fome)

There's a reckoning still to be reckoned (In the land)

And there's gonna be hell to pay

E vai haver um inferno a pagar

At the end of the day!

No fim do dia!

[FOREMAN]

[CAPATAZ]

At the end of the day you get nothing for nothing

Sitting flat on your bum doesn't buy any bread

[FACTORY WOMAN #6]

[OPERÁRIA #6]

It's because little Fantine won't give him his way

Watch how she goes

Vejam como ela anda

She'll be out on the street!

[FACTORY WOMEN]

[OPERÁRIAS]

At the end of the day it's another day over

With enough in your pocket to last for a week

Pay the landlord, pay the shop

Pague o senhorio, pague a loja

Keep on working as long as you're able

Keep on working till you drop

[FANTINE]

[FANTINE]

Give that letter to me, it is none of your business

With a husband at home and a bit on the side

Is there anyone here who can swear before God

Perguntas frequentes

Sobre o que é "At the End of the Day"?
