Hillsong en Español

Hillsong en Español is the Spanish-language worship arm of Hillsong Church, the Australian Pentecostal megachurch known worldwide for its contemporary Christian music. The project translates and adapts Hillsong's global worship catalogue — songs originally created by Hillsong Worship, Hillsong United, and Hillsong Young & Free — into Spanish for congregations and listeners across Latin America and Spanish-speaking communities elsewhere.

Musically, Hillsong en Español follows the same contemporary worship template that made the parent movement famous: anthemic choruses, layered guitars and keys, and production values closer to mainstream pop and rock than to traditional church music, all built around congregational singing. Many of its recordings are adaptations of songs that first became well known in English, giving the Spanish versions an established melodic and emotional framework to work from.

Songs like «Océanos» (the Spanish version of «Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)»), «Yo También (One Thing)», and «Libre Soy» became staples of Spanish-language worship services well beyond Hillsong's own network, reflecting the broader reach and influence Hillsong's music has had on Latin American Christian music.
