Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar on October 11, 1992, in The Bronx, New York, is an American rapper who rose from local fame as a stripper and social-media personality to become one of the biggest names in hip-hop. She first gained a wide following through her candid, comedic videos before joining the reality show Love & Hip Hop, which introduced her to a national audience.
