Sobre o artista
Os Oasis formaram-se em Manchester, Inglaterra, em 1991, liderados pelas composições de Noel Gallagher e pela voz do seu irmão Liam Gallagher. A banda tornou-se um dos nomes definidores do movimento Britpop, combinando rock de guitarras hínico com ganchos melódicos inspirados em bandas como os Beatles e os Rolling Stones, tudo entregue com uma atitude confiante e desafiadora.
O seu álbum de estreia de 1994, Definitely Maybe, explodiu nas tabelas britânicas, seguido em 1995 por (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, que produziu êxitos duradouros como «Wonderwall» e «Don't Look Back in Anger» e transformou a banda em estrelas globais. A sua rivalidade com os Blur tornou-se emblemática da era Britpop, gerando enorme atenção mediática em torno de uma batalha de singles que os Oasis acabaram por ofuscar com o seu sucesso mundial.
