Sobre el artista
The 1975 es una banda inglesa de Macclesfield, Cheshire, formada por los amigos de infancia Matty Healy (voz, guitarra), Adam Hann (guitarra), Ross MacDonald (bajo) y George Daniel (batería). Actualmente radicados en Manchester, pasaron años publicando EPs antes de que llegara su álbum debut homónimo en 2013, combinando art rock, synth-pop y R&B bailable en un sonido que cambia de disco en disco.
Su segundo álbum, i like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it, adoptó un pop más brillante con influencias ochenteras y llevó a la banda al mainstream, con temas como «Somebody Else», «Love Me» y «The Sound» convertidos en favoritos de los fans. Las letras de Matty Healy suelen explorar relaciones modernas, adicciones, desilusión y crítica social, con una mezcla de sinceridad e ironía.
