Звери (Zveri)

Zveri (Звери, meaning Animals) is a Russian pop-rock band founded in 2001 by Roman Bilyk, who performs under the stage name Roma Zver. The group emerged during a period when Russian rock was moving toward more radio-friendly, melodic songwriting, and Zveri quickly became one of the defining acts of that shift, known for anthemic choruses and Bilyk's distinctive, emotionally direct vocal delivery.

The band's breakthrough came with the album Районы-кварталы (Districts-Blocks, 2004), whose title track became one of the most recognizable Russian rock songs of the 2000s, capturing everyday urban life and youthful nostalgia in a way that resonated broadly across Russia. Subsequent albums such as Когда мы вместе, никто не круче and Дальше continued the band's trajectory of blending acoustic-driven pop-rock with occasional folk and ska touches.

Over two decades, Zveri has released numerous studio albums, live recordings, and singles, with Roman Bilyk as the band's constant creative center and primary songwriter. Songs like «До скорой встречи!», «Танцуй», and «Говори» remain staples of Russian-language pop-rock radio, and the band's accessible, hook-driven sound has made it one of the most enduring and widely recognized acts in the genre in Russia.
