Yves Tumor

Yves Tumor is an American musician and producer, born Sean Bowie, who grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee after being born in Miami. Emerging from the American underground and experimental music scene, Tumor built a reputation for genre-defiant work that fuses rock, noise, R&B, pop, and electronic textures into something unmistakably their own. Early releases explored ambient and noise-adjacent sound before Tumor moved toward more song-oriented, guitar-driven material.

The album «Safe in the Hands of Love» (2018) marked a turning point, blending industrial noise with pop hooks, and was followed by «Heaven to a Tortured Mind» (2020), which leaned further into glam-rock and funk influences. Tumor has continued to push their sound with releases like «The Asymptotical World» and «Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume», exploring psychedelia and heavier rock textures.

Known for a theatrical, shape-shifting stage presence and a refusal to settle into one style, Tumor has collaborated with artists including Diana Gordon, Kelsey Lu, Mykki Blanco, and Ecco2k. Songs like «Kerosene!», «Gospel for a New Century», and «Noid» showcase the blend of raw emotion and sonic experimentation that defines their catalog.
