YUNGBLUD

YUNGBLUD is the stage name of Dominic Harrison, an English singer and songwriter from Doncaster who emerged in the late 2010s as one of the most visible voices in alternative rock aimed at a young, disaffected generation. His sound blends punk energy, pop hooks and hip-hop-influenced delivery, often tackling mental health, identity and political frustration with an openly emotional, confrontational style. He built a loyal fanbase, sometimes called the Black Hearts Club, around a sense of community and outsider solidarity rather than a single genre sound.

His early singles and his self-titled EP introduced a restless, genre-blending approach that carried into his debut album 21st Century Liability, cementing his reputation as a spokesperson for a generation raised online and disillusioned with traditional institutions. Songs like «Parents» and «11 Minutes» (a collaboration with Halsey and Travis Barker released after the death of Lil Peep) showed his willingness to mix vulnerability with anger and to work across scenes, from pop to rap to rock.

Over subsequent releases, YUNGBLUD continued to broaden his palette, moving toward bigger, more anthemic rock production while retaining his diaristic lyrical approach. He has become known for chaotic, high-energy live shows and for positioning himself as an advocate for LGBTQ+ and mental health causes within his music and public persona.
