X Ambassadors

X Ambassadors are an American rock band from Ithaca, New York, formed in 2009, originally performing simply as Ambassadors before adding the «X». The lineup centers on brothers Sam Harris (lead vocals) and Casey Harris (keyboards), alongside drummer Adam Levin, with guitarist Noah Feldshuh part of the band's early years before departing. Their sound blends alternative rock with pop hooks, soulful vocal delivery, and elements of hip-hop and electronic production, giving them crossover appeal beyond a strictly rock audience.

The band built momentum through their early EP and 2013's Love Songs Drug Songs before breaking through more widely with their debut studio album VHS in 2015, which spawned the massive hit «Renegades» and further hits like «Unsteady» and «Jungle», the latter featuring Jamie N Commons. «Jungle» and other tracks also connected them to Imagine Dragons, who championed the band early on and toured with them, helping introduce X Ambassadors to a wider rock and pop audience through Interscope Records.

Their song «Litost», from their earlier work, gained additional visibility as part of the soundtrack for the 2013 film The Host. Across their catalog, X Ambassadors have maintained a signature sound built on anthemic choruses, emotional vocal performances, and a willingness to blend genres, making them one of the more radio-friendly rock acts to emerge in the 2010s.
