Wallows

Wallows is an American indie rock trio from Los Angeles formed by Braeden Lemasters, Dylan Minnette, and Cole Preston, who have played together since childhood, having met through a San Fernando Valley music program. Before settling on the Wallows name in 2017 — a name inspired by a location in the Tony Hawk's Underground video game — the band performed under earlier monikers including The Feaver and The Narwhals.

The trio's debut EP Spring, produced by John Congleton and featuring songs like «Pictures of Girls» and «These Days», introduced their jangly, hook-laden blend of indie rock, power pop, and subtle electronic textures. Minnette, also known as an actor, brought additional visibility to the project, but the band's growth has been driven by consistently sharp songwriting and a nostalgic, guitar-forward sound indebted to bands like Weezer and The Strokes.

Wallows have continued to expand their catalog with songs such as «Are You Bored Yet?», «Scrawny», and «OK», balancing wistful, coming-of-age lyricism with increasingly polished production. Their sound sits comfortably alongside contemporaries in the 2010s–2020s indie rock revival, marked by melodic guitar lines and diary-like songwriting.
