Viagra Boys

Viagra Boys are a Swedish post-punk band formed in Stockholm in 2015, fronted by vocalist Sebastian Murphy alongside bassist Henrik Höckert, drummer Tor Sjödén, saxophonist Oskar Carls, keyboardist Elias Jungqvist, and guitarist Linus Hillborg. The band built a reputation for a chaotic, sax-driven sound that fuses post-punk, garage punk, dance-punk, and cowpunk, matched with lyrics that satirize toxic masculinity, conspiracy theories, and internet culture with dark, deadpan humor.

Their 2018 debut album, Street Worms, drew critical acclaim for its raw energy and biting social commentary, establishing them as one of the more distinctive voices in contemporary post-punk. The follow-up, Welfare Jazz (2021), broadened their sound while keeping the same sharp wit, and further raised the band's international profile. The group suffered a major loss when founding guitarist Benjamin Vallé died in October 2021, but they continued on, releasing Cave World in 2022.

In 2025 the band released their fourth studio album, viagr aboys, via their own label Shrimptech Enterprises, led by the single «Man Made of Meat». Known for their unpredictable, high-energy live shows and Murphy's unhinged stage presence, Viagra Boys have become a fixture of the modern punk and post-punk touring circuit, praised for balancing absurdist comedy with genuine social critique.
