Van Morrison

Van Morrison, born George Ivan Morrison on 31 August 1945 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a singer-songwriter whose career stretches back to the mid-1960s. He first gained attention as a member of the R&B band Them, known for the garage-rock staple «Gloria», before launching a solo career that would establish him as one of the most influential voices in popular music. His solo breakthrough came with the album Astral Weeks, a genre-defying record blending folk, jazz, and soul that is widely regarded as a landmark of its era.
