Turnstile

Turnstile is an American band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2010, that emerged from the East Coast hardcore punk scene before pushing the genre's boundaries into pop, funk, and alternative territory. Fronted by vocalist Brendan Yates, the band built its early reputation on tightly wound, high-energy hardcore records before evolving a signature sound that folds in groove-heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and unexpected genre detours.

Their 2021 album «Glow On» marked a breakthrough moment, drawing acclaim from outlets across the music press for its fusion of hardcore aggression with shoegaze textures, R&B-inflected vocals, and dance-adjacent rhythms on tracks like «BLACKOUT» and «MYSTERY». The record helped introduce Turnstile to audiences well beyond the hardcore underground, and songs such as «HOLIDAY» and «T.L.C. (Turnstile Love Connection)» became crossover favorites.
