Trivium

Trivium is an American heavy metal band formed in Orlando, Florida in the late 1990s, built around guitarist and vocalist Matt Heafy. The band emerged in the mid-2000s as part of a wave of groups blending thrash metal aggression with metalcore structure and melodic death metal influences, drawing comparisons to bands like Metallica and In Flames. Their sound is marked by dual-vocal interplay between screamed and clean singing, technical dual-guitar work, and dramatic, often conceptually ambitious songwriting.

After debuting on Lifeforce Records with «Ember to Inferno», Trivium signed to Roadrunner Records and built their reputation with albums such as «Ascendancy» and «The Crusade», which helped establish them within the 2000s metalcore and new-wave-of-thrash scenes. Over time the band evolved its sound across a run of studio albums, incorporating more melodic and progressive elements while retaining their heavy core.

Trivium has remained a touring and recording mainstay of modern metal for two decades, continuing to release new albums and headline festivals worldwide, with Heafy remaining the band's central creative and vocal presence throughout its many lineup changes.
