Tigers Jaw

Tigers Jaw is an American rock band from Scranton, Pennsylvania, formed in 2005 by then-teenage frontman Adam McIlwee. Rooted in the tight-knit northeastern Pennsylvania punk scene, the band broke into wider recognition with their 2008 self-titled album, which became a touchstone of the emerging emo revival movement thanks to its blend of scrappy indie rock hooks, plainspoken lyrics, and alternating male-female vocals.

The band nearly dissolved in 2013 when three members, including McIlwee, departed, leaving guitarist Ben Walsh and keyboardist Brianna Collins to steer Tigers Jaw forward. After the 2014 album Charmer closed that chapter, McIlwee went on to build a solo career as Wicca Phase Springs Eternal within the emo-rap scene, while other former members regrouped as Three Man Cannon.

Walsh and Collins rebuilt the band with new members, including drummer Teddy Roberts and multi-instrumentalist Colin Gorman, continuing to release music that keeps the group a fixture of American indie and emo circles, admired for its melodic songwriting and enduring influence on younger emo revival bands.
