Thirty Seconds to Mars

Thirty Seconds to Mars is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1998 and fronted by actor, songwriter, and producer Jared Leto. The band is completed by his brother Shannon Leto on drums, with guitarist Tomo Miličević a longtime member before stepping away in 2018. Their sound blends anthemic alternative rock with cinematic, arena-scaled production and electronic textures.

The band built its following through albums featuring hits like «The Kill (Bury Me)», «From Yesterday», and «This Is War», tracks defined by soaring choruses and dramatic, larger-than-life arrangements. Their album This Is War set a record for the most live shows performed during a single album cycle, reflecting the band's reputation for intense touring and dedicated fan engagement.

The making of This Is War coincided with a highly publicized lawsuit against EMI, a saga documented in the film Artifact.
