About the artist
The Wonder Years are an American pop-punk band from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Formed in the mid-2000s, they became one of the defining acts of the genre's early-2010s resurgence thanks to frontman Dan Campbell's confessional, literary songwriting, which favors themes of depression, grief, self-doubt and political frustration over the breakup narratives typical of the scene.
Musically the band blends melodic pop-punk hooks with layered guitar work, gang vocals and occasional post-hardcore intensity, giving their records an emotionally cathartic, anthemic quality live and on tape.
