The Story So Far

The Story So Far is an American pop-punk band formed in Walnut Creek, California, in 2007, fronted by vocalist Parker Cannon. Emerging from the Bay Area’s DIY hardcore and pop-punk scene, the band became one of the defining acts of the genre’s 2010s revival, known for pairing melodic hooks with raw, emotionally charged delivery.

Their 2011 debut Under Soil and Dirt established a template of fast, driving guitar work and Cannon’s alternately sung and shouted vocals, while What You Don’t See and the self-titled The Story So Far pushed the band toward a heavier, more aggressive sound without losing their pop sensibility. Tracks like «Quicksand» and «Clairvoyant» showcase the tension between anthemic melody and hardcore-rooted intensity that defines their catalogue.
