The Plot In You

The Plot in You is an American metalcore band formed in 2010 in Hancock County, Ohio. What began as a solo side project called Vessels for vocalist Landon Tewers, formerly of Before Their Eyes, grew into a full band rounded out by guitarist Josh Childress, bassist Ethan Yoder and drummer Mathis Arnell. The group signed to Rise Records and issued the EP «Wife Beater» in 2010, followed by their full-length debut «First Born» in 2011, establishing the harsh, emotionally raw sound that would define their catalog.

The band's second album, «Could You Watch Your Children Burn», released in 2012, pushed further into the aggressive, breakdown-heavy style typical of the genre while pairing it with confessional, often bleak lyricism. After moving to Stay Sick Recordings, they released «Happiness in Self Destruction» in 2015, an album that broadened their sound with more melodic and electronic elements alongside the heavier core.

In 2017 The Plot in You signed with Fearless Records and released «DISPOSE» in 2018, continuing to blend metalcore aggression with darker, more atmospheric textures. Across their discography the band has built a reputation within the metalcore scene for combining crushing instrumentation with unusually personal and vulnerable songwriting, distinguishing them from more formulaic acts in the genre.
