About the artist
The Glorious Sons are a Canadian rock band formed in Kingston, Ontario in 2011, led by brothers Brett Emmons on vocals and Jay Emmons on guitar. Emerging alongside a wave of roots-inflected, blue-collar rock bands, they built their reputation on raw, anthemic songwriting and Brett Emmons's raspy, soul-inflected voice, drawing comparisons to classic rock and Americana as much as to contemporary alternative rock.
The band's 2014 debut The Union established their sound, but it was Young Beauties & Fools (2017) and its breakout single «S.O.S. (Sawed Off Shotgun)» that pushed them into the Canadian rock mainstream, followed by A War on Everything (2019), which produced hits like «Josie» and «Panic Attack». Their songs frequently deal with struggle, small-town life and resilience, delivered with driving guitars and big, singalong choruses that translate well to festival stages.
The Glorious Sons have become one of the most consistent hitmakers on Canadian rock radio, repeatedly topping the Billboard Canada Rock charts and earning Juno Award recognition, while touring extensively across North America and building a reputation as a compelling live act.
