The Aces

The Aces are an American indie pop-rock band from Provo, Utah, formed by four childhood friends: sisters Cristal and Alisa Ramirez, along with Katie Henderson and McKenna Petty. Signed to Red Bull Records, the group broke through with their 2016 single «Stuck», followed by the EP I Don’t Like Being Honest and their debut full-length When My Heart Felt Volcanic in 2018.

Their sound blends shimmering guitar pop with confessional lyrics about friendship, identity and queer romance, drawing comparisons to 1980s new wave alongside more contemporary indie-pop textures. Cristal’s vocals and Katie’s guitar work give the band a bright, hook-driven signature that has made them festival favorites.

Over the following albums, including Under My Influence and I’ve Loved You for a Thousand Years, The Aces continued exploring themes of self-acceptance and mental health, cementing their place as one of the more prominent all-female bands in modern indie pop.
