The Acacia Strain

The Acacia Strain is an American deathcore band formed in 2001 in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Vocalist Vincent Bennett has remained the band's sole constant member through numerous lineup changes, steering the group's uncompromising, downtuned sound across nearly two decades of releases. Their music blends crushing breakdowns, sludge-influenced riffing, and Bennett's guttural vocal delivery, placing them among the pioneering acts of the deathcore genre alongside bands that emerged from the early-2000s heavy music underground.

The band's discography includes albums such as «…And Life Is Very Long», «3750», «The Dead Walk», «Continent», «Wormwood», «Death Is the Only Mortal», «Coma Witch», «Gravebloom», and «It Comes in Waves». They have also released collaborative material, including a split EP with Thy Art Is Murder and Fit for an Autopsy titled «The Depression Sessions». In 2020 the band released a series of two-song EPs spelling out «DECAY», later compiled into the album «Slow Decay», reflecting a thematic arc of decline mirrored in the accompanying artwork.
