Scorpions

Scorpions are a German hard rock band formed in Hannover in 1965, led for decades by guitarist Rudolf Schenker and vocalist Klaus Meine. After releasing their debut album «Lonesome Crow» in 1972, the band built a distinctive sound blending hard rock riffs with melodic, anthemic choruses and occasional acoustic ballads. Through the 1970s they refined this style across a string of albums, but it was the 1980s that turned them into global stars.

The albums «Blackout» (1982) and «Love at First Sting» (1984) produced classics such as «Rock You Like a Hurricane», «No One Like You» and «Still Loving You», cementing their status as one of the biggest rock acts to emerge from continental Europe. Their 1990 album «Crazy World» included «Wind of Change», a ballad that became an unofficial anthem of the end of the Cold War and remains one of the best-selling rock singles of all time.

With a career spanning more than five decades and lineup changes around its core members, Scorpions continued releasing albums and touring worldwide into the 21st century, influencing generations of hard rock and heavy metal musicians through their hook-driven songwriting and powerful live performances.
