Passion

Passion, also known as the Passion Conference, is a Christian worship movement and annual gathering founded in 1997 by Louie Giglio, aimed at college-age young adults. Music has always been central to the events, and the Passion brand has released numerous live worship albums recorded at its conferences, becoming one of the most influential forces in contemporary congregational worship music.

Over the years the roster of worship leaders associated with Passion has included Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker and others, many of whom also maintain successful solo careers. Songs that emerged from or were popularized through Passion recordings, such as «10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)», «One Thing Remains» and «Even So Come», have become staples of church worship services around the world.

Musically, Passion's output spans anthemic, arena-scale worship rock alongside more intimate acoustic-driven pieces, unified by congregational, sing-along melodies designed for corporate worship. Live recordings such as «Glorious Day (Live)», «Holy Ground (Live)» and «Build My Life (Live)» capture the communal energy of the conference setting, reflecting Passion's ongoing role in shaping the sound of modern worship music.
