Paramore

Paramore formed around 2004 in Franklin, Tennessee, coalescing around teenage vocalist Hayley Williams alongside brothers Josh and Zac Farro and bassist Jeremy Davis. Their 2005 debut All We Know Is Falling launched them from the pop-punk and emo scene, but it was their sophomore effort, Riot!, and its breakout single «Misery Business», that turned them into one of the genre's defining acts and established Williams as one of rock's most recognizable frontwomen.

Over the following decade the band's lineup shifted substantially, with Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and, later, returning drummer Zac Farro forming its core. Their sound evolved from sharp pop-punk hooks toward a broader, more polished pop-rock and new wave-influenced palette, evident on the self-titled Paramore album with its hit «Still into You» and later on After Laughter, which leaned into 1980s-inspired synth textures.

Known for anthemic hooks paired with candid, often confessional lyrics, Paramore's catalog spans Rock, Pop, Electronic, and Country-tinged influences, with songs like «Ain't It Fun» and «Hard Times» showcasing their range. The band has won a Grammy Award and remains one of the most influential groups to emerge from the mid-2000s American rock scene.
