Nothing But Thieves

Nothing But Thieves are an English alternative rock band formed in 2012 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The lineup is built around vocalist Conor Mason, whose wide falsetto-capable range became the band's signature, alongside guitarists Joe Langridge-Brown and Dominic Craik, drummer James Price and bassist Philip Blake. Their sound blends heavy, riff-driven rock with pop songwriting and occasional electronic and hip-hop textures, placing them alongside a wave of 2010s British rock acts that pushed toward mainstream radio without abandoning guitar-driven intensity.

The band broke through with their self-titled debut album in 2015, which included the single «Trip Switch» and established their reputation as a strong live act. Their second album, «Broken Machine» (2017), broadened their palette with darker, more atmospheric production and yielded songs such as «Amsterdap» and «Sorry», the latter reworked with elements of R&B-inflected vocal delivery. The record cemented their UK chart presence and expanded their following across Europe.

Subsequent albums «Moral Panic» (2020) and «Dead Club City» (2023) leaned further into introspective themes around anxiety, mortality and modern digital life, while keeping the band's core dynamic between soaring choruses and heavy instrumental sections. Nothing But Thieves are known for extensive touring, including festival slots and arena support runs, and remain one of the more consistently evolving rock bands to emerge from the British scene in the 2010s.
