Ninja Sex Party

Ninja Sex Party is an American comedy rock duo formed in New York in 2009, consisting of vocalist Danny Sexbang (Daniel Avidan) and the silent, katana-wielding keyboardist Ninja Brian (Brian Wecht). Drawing on the tradition of theatrical comedy-rock acts like Steel Panther and Flight of the Conchords, the duo built a cult following on YouTube with low-budget, deliberately over-the-top music videos mixing absurd humor, sexual innuendo and genuine musical craftsmanship.

Their sound leans on glossy synth-driven rock and power-ballad songwriting, giving songs like «Danny Don't You Know» and «First Date» a sincere emotional core beneath the raunchy jokes. Studio albums such as NSFW, Strawberries and Cream and Attitude City expanded their audience well beyond their original online fanbase, charting on the Billboard 200.

Avidan's profile grew further as co-host of the popular Let's Play series Game Grumps, which fed listeners into NSP's music. Together with Game Grumps co-host Arin Hanson, Avidan and Wecht also formed Starbomb, a related project focused on video-game and geek-culture parody rap. Between original records, covers albums and steady touring, Ninja Sex Party remains one of the more durable acts to emerge from internet comedy culture.
