NEEDTOBREATHE

NEEDTOBREATHE is an American rock band from Possum Kingdom, South Carolina, formed by brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart. Blending Southern rock, Americana, folk and pop influences, the band built a devoted grassroots fanbase before breaking into the mainstream with albums like «The Outsiders» and «The Reckoning». Their sound is marked by gritty, soulful vocals, layered guitar work and a warmth that draws as much from gospel and blues as from rock radio.

The band's commercial peak came with «Rivers in the Wasteland» and its single «Brother» featuring Gavin DeGraw, which became a platinum-certified hit and earned them a GRAMMY nomination alongside «Multiplied». «H A R D L O V E» pushed further into pop territory with the Andra Day collaboration on the title track, while still keeping their rock roots intact. They are known for energetic live shows and have sold out storied venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Ryman Auditorium.

Over two decades, NEEDTOBREATHE has evolved from an indie Southern-rock outfit into one of the more durable bands in the Christian and mainstream rock crossover space, respected for consistent songwriting and an ability to move between introspective, faith-inflected ballads and anthemic rock singles.
