NateWantsToBattle is the stage name of Nathan Sharp, a Korean-American singer, songwriter and voice actor who built his career on YouTube. He rose to prominence with English covers of anime opening themes and video-game-inspired original songs, developing a large fanbase around his emotive vocal style and alternative rock/metal production.

His original discography spans full-length albums such as Sandcastle Kingdoms, Paid in Exposure and To Let Go, alongside hundreds of covers and parodies referencing anime, gaming and internet culture. Tracks like «Dragon Soul» and «Shinzou Wo Sasageyo» (his cover of the Attack on Titan opening) became some of his most streamed and recognized work.

In 2017 he co-founded the independent label Give Heart Records with longtime producer Shawn Christmas, formalizing a creative partnership that had shaped his sound since 2015. Beyond music, Sharp has also worked as a voice actor, further tying his artistic identity to the fandom communities that first embraced his music on YouTube.
