Movements

Movements are an American band from Orange County, California, formed in the mid-2010s and associated with the emo and post-hardcore revival that took hold in the second half of that decade. The group built its early reputation with the song «Protection», whose reception helped them sign to Fearless Records, followed by the debut EP «Outgrown Things» in 2016.

Their sound blends the melodic urgency of post-hardcore with a more introspective, atmospheric songwriting style, marked by Patrick Miranda's expressive vocal delivery and lyrics that lean heavily into themes of grief, anxiety, and emotional vulnerability. This approach set them apart from more aggressive peers in the scene and drew comparisons to acts blending emo revival sensibilities with heavier instrumentation.

The band's full-length debut, «Feel Something», released in 2017, cemented their standing within the genre and features songs such as «Daylily» and «Colorblind» that remain among their best-known tracks. Movements have continued to release music that explores similar emotional terrain, maintaining a devoted following within the post-hardcore and emo communities.
