Måneskin

Måneskin are an Italian rock band from Rome, formed in 2016 by vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio. The band's name, meaning moonlight in Danish, nods to Victoria's family heritage. They first gained wide attention as street performers before finishing second on the Italian talent show X Factor in 2017, an exposure that launched their career despite not winning.

Their sound blends glam rock, punk energy and pop hooks, drawing comparisons to acts like The Rolling Stones and The Strokes while carving out a distinctly theatrical, gender-fluid visual identity. After the EP Chosen and debut album Il Ballo Della Vita, the band broke through internationally in 2021, winning the Sanremo Music Festival with «Zitti E Buoni» and then triumphing at the Eurovision Song Contest, Italy's first win in over three decades.

The Eurovision victory propelled songs like «I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE» and a viral cover of «Beggin'» to global charts, followed by the album Rush! and continued collaborations and world touring. Måneskin are widely credited with reviving mainstream interest in rock music among younger, streaming-native audiences worldwide.
