Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit is an American nu-metal band formed in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida, fronted by Fred Durst alongside bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland, and turntablist DJ Lethal. The band became one of the defining acts of the late-1990s nu-metal explosion, fusing heavy, riff-driven metal with hip-hop rhythms, rap-style vocals, and turntable scratching into an aggressive, mainstream-friendly sound.

Their breakthrough came with singles like «Nookie» and «Break Stuff», which combined Durst's confrontational rap-rock delivery with Borland's abrasive, experimental guitar work, while «Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)» became one of the era's biggest rock-radio anthems. The band's cover of The Who's «Behind Blue Eyes» showed a more melodic, radio-friendly side alongside their heavier material. Limp Bizkit built credibility across genre lines through high-profile collaborations with hip-hop artists like Method Man, and their public rivalry with Eminem further cemented their place at the intersection of rock and rap culture.
