Kraftklub

Kraftklub are a German indie-rock band from Chemnitz, formed in 2009. Known for blending guitar-driven rock with rap-inflected vocals, pop hooks and electronic elements, they quickly became one of Germany's most recognizable bands, mixing sharp, often ironic social commentary with anthemic choruses sung in German.

After an early EP, their first two studio albums, Mit K and In Schwarz, both topped the German charts for weeks and achieved platinum status. The band represented Chemnitz at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2011 with «Ich will nicht nach Berlin», and their track «Eure Mädchen» became the only German song featured on FIFA 13, boosting their international visibility. In 2017 they released their third studio album, Keine Nacht für Niemand, which went on to achieve gold certification.

Songs like «Schüsse in die Luft», «Songs für Liam», «Chemie Chemie Ya», «Dein Lied», «Ein Song reicht», «Kein Liebeslied», «500 K» and «Deine Gang» showcase the band's range, from raucous, rebellious anthems to more reflective, melodic material. Rooted in their hometown identity — Chemnitz, formerly Karl-Marx-Stadt — Kraftklub remain a defining act of the modern German indie and alternative rock scene.
