Knocked Loose

Knocked Loose are an American hardcore band from Oldham County, Kentucky, formed in 2013 and known for fusing the aggression of hardcore with elements of metal and grindcore, producing a sound often described as some of the heaviest in modern heavy music. The band built its early reputation through relentless touring and a series of releases culminating in their debut full-length, Laugh Tracks, in 2016, which established their reputation for breakneck tempo shifts, crushing breakdowns, and vocalist Bryan Garris's visceral, throat-shredding delivery.

Their 2019 album, A Different Shade of Blue, expanded their audience considerably and brought the band into wider metal and hardcore crossover conversations, showcasing a tighter songwriting approach without sacrificing intensity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the band retreated to a cabin in Tennessee to record the concept EP A Tear in the Fabric of Life, released in 2021 alongside an accompanying animated short film, a project that demonstrated their willingness to push beyond straightforward hardcore songwriting into more ambitious narrative territory.

Signed to Pure Noise Records, Knocked Loose have become one of the most prominent contemporary hardcore acts, credited with helping bring the genre's uncompromising sound to larger festival stages and broader audiences while maintaining credibility within the underground scene that shaped them.
