About the artist
Killing Me Inside is an Indonesian post-hardcore band from South Jakarta, formed in 2005. Combining screamed and clean vocals over melodic, guitar-driven riffs, the band became one of the leading names of Indonesia's post-hardcore and metalcore scene during the late 2000s, alongside a wave of bands drawing on Western acts like Story of the Year and A Day to Remember.
Over the years the lineup has shifted several times, with guitarist Josaphat Klements remaining a constant presence. The band built its following through energetic live shows and songs such as «Fake», «Forever» and «Let It Go», which combine emotionally charged lyrics with anthemic choruses. Their sound blends the aggression of hardcore with pop-influenced melodies, making them accessible to a broad young audience.
In later years the band rebranded as KILMS, reflecting a shift in sound and image while retaining the emotional intensity that defined their earlier work. They remain an important reference point for the Indonesian rock and post-hardcore scene, having helped popularize the genre domestically and inspiring younger acts.
