Kargo

Kargo is a Turkish rock band formed in 1993 by Selim Öztürk and Mehmet Şenol Şişli. After releasing their debut album «Sil Baştan», the band settled into the lineup that would define its classic era — vocalist Koray Candemir, keyboardist Serkan Çeliköz and drummer Burak Karataş — and became one of the leading names of alternative Turkish rock as the genre broke into the mainstream in the second half of the 1990s.

Kargo's music blends melodic rock songwriting with an alternative edge, keyboard textures that give the band a distinct atmosphere among its guitar-driven peers, and Candemir's expressive, often melancholic vocal delivery. Tracks like «Yıldızların Altında», «Şairin Elinde» and «Öyle Sarhoş Olsam Ki» became staples of Turkish rock radio and remain closely associated with the band's identity.

Over three decades, Kargo has held a steady place in Turkey's rock landscape, valued both for its role in popularizing alternative rock domestically and for a catalog of songs that continue to resonate with generations of Turkish rock fans.
