Joyce Manor

Joyce Manor is an indie punk band from Torrance, California, formed in 2008 by singer Barry Johnson and guitarist Chase Knobbe. The band later expanded with bassist Matt Ebert and drummer Kurt Walcher, with lineup changes over the years bringing in Jeff Enzor and later Pat Ware on drums. The band's name comes from a friend's offhand suggestion referencing an apartment building near Johnson's childhood home.

Known for compact, emotionally direct songs that rarely stretch past two minutes, Joyce Manor blends the raw energy of pop-punk and hardcore with the melodic sensibility of power-pop and emo. Songs like «Constant Headache» and «Beach Community» became scene favorites for their blunt honesty and instantly memorable hooks, helping the band build a devoted following in the DIY and punk community.
