JOHNNYSWIM is the husband-and-wife duo of Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano, who met in Nashville and began writing songs together before their creative partnership grew into a romantic one. Sudano is the daughter of disco and R&B legend Donna Summer, a lineage that quietly informs the soulful undercurrent in the duo's music, while Ramirez brings a rootsy, gospel-tinged warmth to their sound.

After marrying and relocating to Los Angeles, the pair built their following gradually through independent EPs before signing a deal distributed by Sony/RED and releasing their full-length debut, Diamonds, in 2014. Their music blends folk-pop harmonies, country storytelling, and R&B-inflected soul, built around the intimate interplay of their two voices trading lines and blending in close harmony — a hallmark that has defined their sound from their earliest recordings onward.

JOHNNYSWIM has built a career on live performance and a devoted following as much as on radio hits, touring steadily and following their debut album with a Christmas record, a live release, and a second studio album, Georgica Pond, in 2016. Their appeal lies in the authenticity of a real-life marriage translated into genuinely collaborative songwriting.
