About the artist

Joe Walsh, born Joseph Fidler Walsh on November 20, 1947, is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose career spans the James Gang, the short-lived band Barnstorm, a long tenure with the Eagles, and a parallel solo career. He rose to prominence in the early 1970s with the James Gang before striking out with Barnstorm and then establishing himself as a distinctive solo voice with a blend of hard rock, blues, and wry humor.

His solo hits, including «Rocky Mountain Way» and «Life's Been Good», showcase his talkbox and slide guitar work alongside lyrics that mix rock swagger with self-deprecating comedy. «Rocky Mountain Way» in particular has become an unofficial anthem in Colorado, where Walsh has long been based, and it is a fixture at Colorado Rockies games. In 1976 he joined the Eagles, contributing his guitar style and songwriting to some of the band's biggest records.

Walsh is widely regarded as one of rock's most influential guitarists, appearing on Rolling Stone's list of top guitarists, and he remains an active performer known for an animated stage presence. Beyond music, he has spoken publicly about resilience and staying grounded under pressure, reflecting the same wry, unpretentious character that runs through his songwriting.
