Jack Off Jill

Jack Off Jill were an American riot grrrl band formed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1992, led by singer Jessicka Addams alongside founding members Tenni Ah-Cha-Cha, Agent Moulder, and Michelle Inhell. The lineup shifted frequently over the band's existence, but the group carved out a distinct space in the alternative and industrial-tinged rock underground of the 1990s, mixing abrasive guitar textures with dark, confrontational lyricism.

The band released several cassette demos before issuing two full studio albums, building a devoted cult following through songs like «Vivica», «Strawberry Gashes», and «Fear of Dying» that combined riot grrrl's raw energy with gothic and electronic undercurrents. Their sound stood apart from much of the era's alt-rock by leaning into visceral, theatrical intensity and unfiltered explorations of trauma, sexuality, and identity.

Jack Off Jill disbanded in 2000, but their influence persisted within the alternative and gothic rock scenes, and the band reunited for a brief tour in 2015, giving longtime fans a rare chance to experience the material live. Jessicka Addams went on to other musical projects following the split, carrying forward the confrontational aesthetic the band helped define.
