About the artist
Isles & Glaciers were a short-lived American post-hardcore supergroup formed in late 2008, bringing together musicians from several prominent bands in the scene. The lineup included Vic Fuentes and Mike Fuentes of Pierce the Veil, Jonny Craig (then of Emarosa, formerly Dance Gavin Dance), Craig Owens and Matt Goddard of Chiodos, Nick Martin of Underminded (later Sleeping with Sirens), and Brian Southall, formerly of Boys Night Out and The Receiving End of Sirens.
Despite the pedigree of its members, the group released only one EP, The Hearts of Lonely People, through Equal Vision Records in 2010, before disbanding. Songs like «Cemetery Weather», «Hills Like White Elephants», «Empty Sighs and Wine» and «Viola Lion» showcased a blend of post-hardcore intensity with melodic, emotionally-charged songwriting, reflecting the combined influences of its members' primary bands.
Four years after splitting, a remix EP surfaced, giving fans a final glimpse of the project. Though its output was minimal, Isles & Glaciers remains notable as a rare convergence of frontmen and instrumentalists from Pierce the Veil, Chiodos, Dance Gavin Dance-adjacent acts, and Sleeping with Sirens, all in one short-lived collaboration.
