About the artist
Isaac Gracie is a singer-songwriter from Ealing, West London, born in October 1994. He began writing songs at fourteen while singing in the Ealing Abbey Choir, leaving once his voice broke. His raw, emotionally direct style, often compared to Kurt Cobain and Jeff Buckley, blends confessional folk songwriting with grunge-inflected rock intensity.
Gracie’s breakthrough came in 2015 with «Last Words», a Jeff Buckley-influenced track that generated significant industry buzz, reportedly prompting a Universal Music executive to fly from Los Angeles to see one of his early London shows. He self-released the songs from my bedroom EP independently before signing with Virgin EMI, building a reputation as an artist whose stripped-back demos carried as much emotional weight as his fully produced work.
His self-titled debut album was released in April 2018 and reached number 36 on the UK Top 40, showcasing songs like «reverie», «silhouettes of you», and «all in my mind» that pair sparse acoustic arrangements with sudden bursts of distorted guitar. Later that year he released the close up – looking down EP as a vinyl-only release. Gracie’s catalog, including early demo versions of tracks like «terrified» and «last words», reflects an artist who values unpolished intimacy alongside more fully realized rock production.
