Ice Nine Kills

Ice Nine Kills is an American metalcore band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 2002 by high school friends Spencer Charnas and Jeremy Schwartz. Charnas remains the band's only original member and its frontman, and the group has evolved from an early blend of pop-punk, post-hardcore and ska into a theatrical, horror-themed metalcore act that has become one of the genre's most recognizable modern acts.

The band built its reputation on elaborately staged, cinematic music videos and lyrics steeped in horror-movie references, turning slasher and supernatural films into concept songs. Breakthrough momentum came with the album The Silver Scream, which reimagined horror classics track by track, followed by its sequel The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. Songs such as «A Grave Mistake», «Stabbing in the Dark», «Thank God It's Friday» and «Hip To Be Scared» showcase the group's mix of aggressive breakdowns, catchy hooks and dark theatricality.

Beyond Charnas, the current lineup includes guitarists Dan Sugarman, Ricky Armellino and Miles Dimitri Baker, bassist Joe Occhiuti and drummer Mike Cortada. Ice Nine Kills has toured extensively on the strength of its horror-punk identity, cultivating a devoted fanbase drawn to both its musicianship and its love of genre cinema, and remains a defining act within contemporary metalcore.
